Purpose of Position
O’Two Hotels is seeking an IT Administrator and Support professional to keep our technology environment stable, secure and guest-ready across Terra by O’Two and Mar by O’Two. This role supports PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, user access, hardware, software, networks and day-to-day troubleshooting, with the calm urgency expected in a luxury hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first-line and second-line IT support to hotel teams across front office, reservations, finance, housekeeping, spa, F&B and
administration. - Support Protel PMS users, access rights, basic troubleshooting and vendor escalation.
- Administer workstations, printers, telephones, mobile devices, email accounts, user profiles and software access.
- Support hotel Wi-Fi, network connectivity, POS interfaces, CCTV support touchpoints and guest technology requests.
- Maintain IT asset registers, licensing records, equipment logs and support tickets.
- Assist with system set-up, new user onboarding, password resets and hardware deployment.
- Coordinate with vendors for PMS, POS, internet, telephony, access control and infrastructure support.
- Protect data security, system access control and responsible technology use across the hotel.
Required Qualifications
Essential:
Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in hotel IT support, systems administration or hospitality technology support.
Must currently hold a similar role within a 4-star luxury or 5-star luxury hotel environment.
Protel PMS experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, networking basics, printers, user support and hardware troubleshooting.
Able to support both guest-facing and back-of-house technology requirements.
Must be eligible to work in South Africa.
Preferred:
- Experience in an international or internationally branded hotel environment will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with hotel pre-opening, POS systems, telephony, access control or CCTV support will be advantageous.
- Relevant IT certification will be beneficial.
