Purpose of Position
O’Two Hotels is seeking a detail-obsessed Housekeeping Supervisor to guide daily room operations across Terra by O’Two and Mar by O’Two. This role protects room readiness, team productivity, cleanliness, presentation and the small details that quietly define a luxury stay.
Key responsibilities
Allocate rooms and duties to room attendants and housekeeping team members.
Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors, pantries and service areas to ensure standards are met.
Check amenities, linen, minibar support items, maintenance concerns and room presentation details.
Update room status, traces, special requests and housekeeping communication in Protel and related tools.
Coach team members on cleaning sequence, presentation, timing and guest-aware behaviour.
Coordinate with Front Office, Laundry, Maintenance and Public Areas to ensure smooth room readiness.
Report damages, defects, lost property, stock issues and service concerns accurately.
Support deep cleaning, VIP arrivals, turndown preparation and pre-opening readiness where required.
Required Qualifications
Essential:
Minimum 2 years’ housekeeping experience, with supervisory exposure preferred.
Must currently hold a similar role within a 4-star luxury or 5-star luxury hotel environment.
Protel PMS experience is essential.
Strong room inspection, cleaning standards, linen control and guest room presentation experience.
Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Must be eligible to work in South Africa.
Preferred:
- Experience in an international or internationally branded hotel environment will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with luxury suites, turndown service or hotel pre-opening will be beneficial.
