Purpose of Position
O’Two Hotels is seeking a practical and guest-aware Maintenance Supervisor to support the maintenance operation across Terra by O’Two and Mar by O’Two. This role ensures that guest rooms, public spaces, plant areas and back-of-house environments remain safe, functional and aligned to luxury presentation standards.
Key responsibilities
Supervise daily maintenance tasks, job cards, guest room defects and public area repairs.
Allocate work to technicians and follow up on completion, quality and timing.
Support planned preventative maintenance across rooms, equipment, public areas and BOH facilities.
Respond quickly to guest-related maintenance requests with minimal disruption.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Security, Spa and F&B on defects and room readiness.
Maintain maintenance records, stock usage, tools, equipment and safety procedures.
Identify recurring issues and escalate larger works, vendor callouts or project needs.
Support pre-opening snagging, handover, testing and operational readiness where required.
Required Qualifications
Essential:
Minimum 3 years’ hotel maintenance experience, with supervisory exposure preferred.
Must currently hold a similar role within a 4-star luxury or 5-star luxury hotel environment.
Protel PMS experience is essential.
Strong general maintenance knowledge across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry and guest room defects.
Able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call-outs where required.
Must be eligible to work in South Africa.
Preferred:
- Experience in an international or internationally branded hotel environment will be highly advantageous.
- Trade qualification, hotel pre-opening or luxury room snagging experience will be beneficial.
